This trip is probably my favourite in all Asia. I loved Taiwan, it has all you can expect from tradition, nature and city landscapes.

We traveled there for Hari Raya which only allowed us to stay there for 5 days, but we made the best of it. We landed in Taipei and took the train to Shifen and Jiufen, gorgeous towns. We spent the night in Jiufen and then took the bullet train all the way to the south, to the Toroko Park, where we trecked for 2 days and enjoyed nature and fresh air. We were very unlucky and it rained a lot, but it isn’t usually like that.
Taipei was our last stop and it wasn’t less impressive, the streets had a Japan style touch and it still felt very Chinese! Shopping was definitely the best I can remember in Asia.

Este viaje es probablemente mi favorito en toda Asia. Taiwan es mi país favorito porque es la mezcla perfecta entre naturaleza, ciudad y tradición, todo es precioso.
Viajamos en Hari Raya, lo que solamente nos permitía pasar 5 días, pero valieron totalmente la pena. Aterrizamos en Taipei y de allí cogimos un tren a Shifen y Jiufen (lugar en el que se inspira la película “El viaje de Chihiro”). Dormimos en Jiufen y cogimos un tren directo a Toroko, donde estuvimos 2 días y casi no fue suficiente.
Taipei fue nuestra última parada, un lugar genial para compras, completamente urbano pero con un estilo japonés que aún conserva identidad china. Me encantó.
