Hi there!
This time I would like to go into our short trip to Los Angeles. It was something more than that and, as you know, we love to pack our trips with lots of plans and things to do, so this is our route:
Day 1: We landed in LAX airport and took our retal car (which we booked from home a few weeks in advance). As I didn’t take a car since I got the driving license 9 years ago, I took some refreshing driving lessons that weren’t very helpful as cars in the US are automatic. We drove all the way to Anaheim, Orange, which was 1 hour and a half.
Day 2: We went to Ralph’s and bought all we needed to survive during our day trip to Joshua Tree Desert. It was something like 3 hours to get there. We refilled the tank in Palm Springs and did the whole inside route eating our sandwiches, bananas and nuts. At night, when we arrived at the hotel, we went to Genki Sushi (we were craving it since we left Singapore).

Day 3: Disneyland. We spent the whole day there and we don’t regret it! The parking there was 20$ and the tickets in were 134$. The park was ridiculously packed even we went on an ordinary Tuesday. There’s way too long lines to every ride and it’s impossible to walk without bumping into someone. The rides were nice, but you won’t have many chances to go on them.

Day 4: Outlet shopping and drive to Los Angeles. That was the day we switched hotels and so we took the last chance to visit The Outlets of Orange in the morning to do some shopping. I recommend Levi’s and Under Armour. For any other bargains, just go to Marshall’s. After we got to our hotel, we rested a bit and found a Target where we got all we needed for the rest of our stay (it was an Airbnb so we needed to store for breakfast and dinner).

Day 5: This day was one of the saddest ones. We went to Venice Beach and even though the weather forecast said it would be sunny, it was foggy as hell, which made it colder. We walked all the way up to Santa Mónica. Now the worst part comes: we booked to be audience of the late late show by James Corden, but the stupid company that fills it (iOta) overbooked and didn’t allow us in even though we got there half an hour before we should have been there. Instead we went to Griffith Observatory and watch an amazing show. After that we strolled down the Hollywood walk of fame.

Day 6: In the morning we went to Warner Bros studios. It was pretty great because we got to see many stages, fake streets and buildings (including The Big Bang Theory and Pretty Little Liars) and, our favourite the Central Perk from Friends. In the afternoon we watched a Lakers game (Lakers vs. Bucks). We got nice seats, but they were expensive.

Day 7: In the morning we hiked the Bronson Canyon to get to the Hollywood Sing hill. In the afternoon we visited Chinatown, the Downtown, and what we loved the most was the last bookstore and the Walt Disney Concert Hall. We tried to get into the Museum (it was free) but there was an incredible line to watch Yayoi Kusama’s piece, so we decided not to go.

Day 8: This was our last day, so we couldn’t do much. We went to Rodeo Drive where we saw a popular football player and we discovered the crazy architecture the high-designer stores have in there. After that we wasted our time looking for shops in the surrounding areas, but as it was Easter Sunday, most of them were closed.

And this is how our trip concludes! I hope you liked it 😀
