Reunion in Florence

In this trip to Florence, I reunited with my friends!

We had a terrible weather forecast coming up, so we planned it all in order to spend the little not-rainy time.

We wanted to go to the Uffizi Gallery, which is part of a package that included the Boboli Gardens and the Pitti Palace. The only thing is that, if you purchase the pachage, which is 18€, you have to go the first day to the Uffizi Gallery, no matter what. The other 2 places can be visited in the 3 following days.

We visited the Boboli Gardens and tried to escape the maze and later we went to the Uffizi Gallery, which had all the Italian art hits! Anyone with basic art history knowledge would enjoy it.

That day we had the Fiorentina steak for lunch and, at night, we went to a

Where we had dinner:

  • Trattoria 13 Gobbi: Amazing pasta
  • Mamma Gina’s: Amazing stews and meats
  • Buca Mario: Expensive but great fiorentina
  • Dalla Lola

We visited the Basilica of Santa Croce, where Stendhal had his famous syndrome and fainting from beauty overload. We didn’t suffer from that, but we could understand why it happened at the time.IMG-20191116-WA0034IMG-20191116-WA0026IMG_20191116_131037The city is just full of art and amazing corners with unexpected great views.

The last day I enjoyed the Galleria dell’Accademia in order to have some minutes to myself and enjoy the David by Michelangelo. I managed to spend some time alone as people start to get there at around 15:00 and later I had lunch at Tratoria Ossa.

Something I didn’t manage to do was purchasing the Venchi chocolate spreads or Nocciola spreads which was also a killer.
