We traveled to Madrid in order to attend to the Lion King theater show and we took the occasion to enjoy the city as much as we could.
We stayed in a hostal at the Hortaleza Street, called Hostal López.
On our first day, we had breakfast at La Mallorquina, which is quite famous for its pastries and you can have amazing views of Plaza del Sol from the top floor. Later we walked across the Retiro Park and got into the Palacio de Cristal, where an art exhibition took place. We had a bocadillo de calamares nearby the Plaza Mayor and enjoy some fresh tapas in the Mercado de San Miguel. Later, we walked towards the Plaza de España and the Templo de Debod.
This is the route we followed:

At night we had the most amazing time having dinner at the coolest restaurant: Habanera and watched the Lion King show in the theater.

The next day we had the traditional churros with hot chocolate breakfast at San Ginés and managed to seat inside! We walked around the Rastro, which is enormous!! And followed our way towards the Matadero art centre. We had vermouth there and later had lunch at Sanguches.

That afternoon, we visited the Prado Museum for free and had our last dinner at the Hortaleza street.
