
This was an amazing escape. We booked a night at the restaurant L’O and a stay in the hotel with the breakfast next morning and an experience in ALICIA that same morning. It all cost us around 175€ per person and it was a real amazing experience.
The hotel is 45 minutes away from Barcelona by car and almost 3 hours by train. We took the car and it was way more efficient.
The hotel is placed almost in the middle of nowhere, just by the Llobregat river and you can take one of their bikes to ride around the area.




The dinner at L’O is quite amazing and it uses season and proximity products. We started off with a house starter, a mini taco with corn and a vermouth.

The first dish was an apperitive served half in a cocktail glass and half in the bowl. Cockle sorbet:

Leak with chestnut sauce.
Rice with duck magrette.
Cod with sweet potato and orange sauce.

Bull with oyster sauce.
Chocolate with hazelnut ice cream
The desert was small sweets that resembled chocolates.
The breakfast of the hotel was a total dream. 


The ALICIA experience (alimentació + ciència) explains their project, based on smarter, sustainable and more adapted to humans food. They keep researching with lots of brands and businesses who work with massive catering services (hotels, schools, elder people residences, airlines…), definitely worth the visit.
