Weekend in Taüll and Boí

This was a short trip up to nearby Aigüestortes. We took the car and drove all the way up there, which was 3 and a half hours.

We stayed in Hostal Taüll and took all of our trips from there and the town is just beautiful. We had lunch at Restarurant El Caliu, where the menu was delicious and it cost 20€ per person.

The first day we took a walk around the Caldes de Taüll area, where there are some old medicinal springs, but the area is still beautiful even though you don’t make use of them.

There’s a hotel where you can have the full Caldes experience.

On the next day we went out to the mountain and hiked mid-way up. We had a nice encounter with cows, but we highly recommend to go there early in the morning so you can park your car nearby the mountain entrance. Otherwise you’ll have to hike up one more hour.

The last day we went to watch the mapping show in the Taüll chapel, which used to have some frescos that nowadays have been removed and are in the MNAC museum.
